Senior Associate
Andrew read law at the University of Tasmania, where he obtained his Bachelor of Laws in 2019. He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2022, and was subsequently admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria as an Australian Legal Practitioner in 2023.
Andrew’s interest in criminal law was shaped early on during his National Service with the Singapore Police Force, where he served as a Ground Response Force Officer. That experience gave him firsthand insight into frontline policing and the investigative process, grounding his legal practice in a practical understanding of how criminal cases are initiated, developed, and prosecuted.
He has an active criminal defence practice and regularly represents clients across a broad spectrum of criminal matters, including drug-related offences, corruption and commercial offences, sexual offences, and other offences under the Penal Code and the Road Traffic Act. He is involved at all stages of criminal proceedings, from investigations and representations to the Attorney-General’s Chambers, to mitigation pleas and trials before the State Courts.

  • Successfully mitigated the sentence of an offender convicted of criminal breach of trust: [2026] SGDC 50.
  • Successfully mitigated the sentences of offenders involved in scam-related offences.
  • Successfully mitigated the sentence of an offender charged under the Massage Establishments Act 2017.
  • Successfully mitigated the sentence of an offender charged under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act 1990.
  • Successfully mitigated the sentence of an offender charged with shop theft under the Penal Code 1871.
  • Successfully obtained a discharge not amounting to an acquittal for an accused charged with shop theft.

Personal Interests:

  • Beyond his work, Andrew serves actively in his church community, with a particular focus on youth ministry. His understanding of advocacy is deeply shaped by the gospel and by the belief that Christ stands as the ultimate advocate for His people.
  • In striving to imitate Christ, Andrew seeks to reflect that model of advocacy in his legal practice , standing with his clients in their moments of vulnerability, speaking on their behalf, and representing them with faithfulness, compassion, and courage.

Family / Personal Information:

  • Andrew is married and considers family a central anchor in his life, both within and beyond legal practice. He and his spouse are also devoted owners of a pet terrapin, Terra.
