Tianyi graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from Singapore Management University and is an Advocate & Solicitor in Singapore.
Tianyi finds family law a particularly meaningful area of practice, and believes that being a family lawyer does not just mean providing quality legal services, but also involves caring for the client as a friend, and work with the client to find the best practical solution to the problems that the client is facing. Being bilingual in English and Mandarin, Tianyi is able to connect with her Mandarin-speaking clients on an emotional level. Tianyi has assisted and represented clients in a range of matrimonial and family law related disputes, in both the Family Justice Courts and the High Court. Tianyi is regularly involved in divorce (simplified and normal), matrimonial asset division, child custody disputes, maintenance application, variation of ancillary matter orders, and mediations.
Tianyi’s other areas of practice include Mental Capacity Act matters (contested and uncontested), extracting Grant of Probate and Letters of Administration, applications for lasting Power of Attorney and drafting wills, and general corporate work.
Outside of practice, Tianyi enjoys cycling with friends. Tianyi loves cats, good food, and good books.
